No, in any room. It is the thing guests write to us about most often, in both directions. Wi-fi is unmetered and fast enough to stream on your own device.

About 30 minutes by taxi or rideshare without traffic, and up to 50 with it. Expect $55 to $75. By public transport it is a train to Central, a change to Bondi Junction and then a bus — roughly an hour, and fine only with hand luggage.

Not all the way. The line ends at Bondi Junction and the last leg is the 333 or 380 bus, or a ten-minute taxi. There has been no station at the beach since the tram line closed in 1960, and the argument about building one is older than most of the buildings.

Four off-street spaces, $35 a night, booked ahead — they go quickly over summer. Street parking in North Bondi is metered and resident-restricted, and the fines are enforced properly.

The 333 from Campbell Parade is a prepaid express to Circular Quay and takes about 40 minutes. By car it is 25 minutes outside peak and considerably more inside it.

Yes. Sal is the ground-floor dining room, thirty-eight seats, open for dinner Wednesday to Sunday and to house guests for breakfast every day from 7am. Non-resident bookings open thirty days ahead.

With 24 hours' notice, yes, including coeliac and most allergies. The menu is written on the day around what the kitchen bought that morning, so more notice genuinely helps.

Between the flags, which the lifeguards move each morning depending on conditions. The permanent rip at the southern end is the most rescued-from stretch of water in Australia. If the surf is up, use the ocean pools instead — North Bondi's is free, Icebergs charges entry.

February and March: the water is at its warmest and the summer crowds have gone back to school. April to May and September to November are the quiet shoulders, with rates about a third below peak. January is the busiest and most expensive month of the year.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival on flexible rates. Advance-purchase rates are non-refundable and say so at the point of booking. Over the Christmas and January peak the window extends to 14 days.

Partly, and we would rather be specific than reassuring. There is a lift to all three floors and step-free access from Ramsgate Avenue to reception and to Sal. Two Courtyard Rooms have roll-in showers and grab rails. The Casa Loft is reached by a private stair with no alternative, and the courtyard has a 40mm lip at the threshold.
